The Effect of Wearing Jewelry

One of the masterpieces of man is jewelry making. Jewelry, in some ways, is connected on how culture and sociaety shaped it. Jewelry is incessantly relates with fashion and for ages, accessorizing has been man’s fascination. Wearing jewelries builds self-image. It enhances the character and draw attention making the owner stands out. For most it is also a status symbol. Rich or poor always has a thing with jewelries. For the rich, it shows them their luxurious life and how they can afford buying those things. Gaining massive jewelry collections indicates that one can afford these types of excess and not everyone can have enough money for these things. An affordable price is always a win-win offer to many customers. The design and the brand or maker also contributes on how expensive it is. For the not-so-rich, obtaining jewelry is not even a need and not even a priority. It is already luxurious to have some and even worth more than the money that is used in buying it in the first place. Not all jewelries are similar, or the price. The higher the percentage of purity of the metal, the higher the price. Mixtures with other metals are done to reduce their prices. There are instances of creating fake jewelries, where a lower value metal is only coated with gold to make it like an original item. It is also considered as an art and the older the pieces are, the more valuable it is. Collecting old jewelries are a a hobby for some. Academically, it also helps us determine our past and how ancient cultures thrived and lived.
