One of the best famous varieties of red wine is the Zinfandel. The Zinfandel variety of red grape is native in California and well-known for its rich taste with hints of raspberry aroma. It grows in warm climate and in bunches. This variety matures early; yet, uneven pattern in ripening happens. This is one disadvantage because the harvest will be one at a time instead of a single harvest for the whole batch. Also, because it grows in a tight crowd, there are cases that it gives in to rot. One trait also of this Zinfandel wine is being “hot” in the roof of the mouth because of its high alcoholic content but it was now tamed by winemakers using new technology. Zinfandel has this particular characteristic also that kept its terrior or the feature that it inherits due to the geographics where it is growned and the winemakers own distinct way of wine production.
